The west coast of Thailand closed to Bangkok is home to many nice beaches, whose only fault is that the beaches face east, so it is impossible to see a sunset over the sea.

Cha-Am
When you drive down the west coast of Thailand, you come to Phetchaburi Province. Cham-Am is the best beach town here. Not as crowded as Hua Hin, but with great resorts, this was also the first beach Coco went to.

The first time we went there in 2021, we stayed in a cute little AirBnB in a resort. The decorations were all nautical themed.
During COVID, we had the beaches all to ourselves and let Coco run free, off-leash.

Hua Hin
Driving further south from Cha-Am brings you to Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Hua Hin is the main town here. We have stayed here only once and found it a regular crowded small town.

The night market is interesting.
However, there are now better, more chic markets here, like this or this.

Suan Son Pradiphat Beach
Driving further south brings you to Suan Son Pradiphat Beach, a less touristy beach.
