It is (at least was, then) one of the filthiest cities I had ever visited in my life. As soon as we got off the train, we saw people sleeping on the railway station floors with cow dung inches away from their face. In fact, cow dung is ever-present in this city.

People would tell you that when you visit this city, you must visit the Imambaras. Till today, I don’t know what an Imambara is.
First, the Bara Imambara.
The Chhota Imambara is like the Bara, but filthier and in poorer shape.
The streets of the city were filthy and run down.

It is not uncommon to find skeletal remains of different animals scattered across the city.

At least the food was decent.
